• Sermon Pastor Dennis Bourne of New Community Covenant Church Bronzeville. Pastor Dennis is active in leadership, programming, and in prayer and worship ministries. He is an advocate for racial righteousness and has led numerous anti-racism training and initiatives. He is passionate about helping people of all ages who have experienced trauma and oppression to recognize and reach their potential in Christ. He currently serves as LCHC’s Behavioral Health Director. His professional career has represented a balance of research, programming, and direct services. His research experience came from investigating military family and team dynamics for the U.S. Army Research Institute. Program management experience came from developing and evaluating mental health services for ethnic minorities for the American Psychological Association. Direct services experience came as a therapist to homeless men and to incarcerated youth

The structure of the service falls into three relatively equal parts: Worship, Prayer & Praise/announcements, and a sermon. We will be streaming the service in #118 Parent Room and the Lounge near the front foyer area for anyone who does not feel comfortable worshipping in the sanctuary, or for families that would like to access alternative spaces. After service, join us in the Bridge area for fellowship, coffee, and snacks!

Mid-week groups are back and starting on Wednesday, February 5th. To join us, please fill out this form.

We're looking forward to another 10 weeks of intentional fellowship, Bible study and sharing a meal together. Here's what you can expect each Wednesday:

• A short gathering as a large group in the sanctuary at 7pm

• Break out into small groups for Bible Study

• Come back together for dinner hosted by different small groups each week

• We try to wrap up by about 8:45

02.23.25 Super Hero Sunday!

This quarter we will pack supply kits for children in other countries.  Our goal is to pack 30 kits.To make 30 kits we will need the following:

• 120 spiral notebooks

• 240 unsharpened pencils

• 30 flat, good quality rulers that display 30 cm

• 30 packs (12 pack) colored pencils

• 30 large erasers

• 120 black or blue ballpoint pens                                                  

• We will need the items by Sunday, February 16th!             

• Drop off in the bin at Youth City check-in table on the following dates:
