God has opened up an incredible opportunity for us to purchase the property next door to our church building. As you can see in the pictures above, this is an immense property, spanning 4 city lots, and includes a 2-story commercial building, a 7-bedroom house, and an enormous open lot.
With the purchase of this property, we will be able to offer all kinds of important community development functions.
* The large, open lot will be a beautiful, outdoor green space and park (alongside with other programmatic offerings designed by the community) that will be enjoyed by the neighborhood, the kids at Cameron, and the congregants of River City.
* The bottom half of the two-story commercial building will become the headquarters for Harambee, one of the most successful workforce development programs in the city, training 12-18 year olds in the skill of tuckpointing. The upper half will become badly needed space for youth programming and meeting rooms.
* The 7-bedroom home will become a center for residential discipleship and life skill building for a diverse group of young adults.
