The strategy working group for Treatment Not Trauma is organizing a press conference and community action at the closed Woodlawn Clinic (6337 S. Woodlawn Ave) to commemorate the 9 year anniversary of the closure of the CDPH mental health clinics. We would love everyone's support promoting and supporting this powerful community event.

As we work towards a non-police crisis response system in Chicago we need also increased investment in the public mental health clinics to ensure that follow-up treatment and case management are provided to those dealing with a crisis. As we saw when the clinics closed in 2012, without a strong public infrastructure serving as a safety net throughout the city, people will continue to fall through the cracks.
